THE LONELY WHITE CROSS

A white cross standing at the side of the road
Has been there for several years so I’m told.
A young woman whose life was taken.
Her future entire life forever forsaken
The car veered off the road, that caused her death.
This clear bright night, where she took her last breath.
Parts of the car were still scattered around.
In the area where her body was found
Now just a lonely white cross standing there
A tribute to her, with fresh flowers to show they care.
No one that morning would ever guess she was dead that night.
Who would ever guess that day was her last, just not right?
All her dreams and future are taken out in a flash.
No one will ever know her potential taken out by that crash.
Now standing there all alone to show
With this white cross left for everyone to know
