Pleads for the Righteousness
Live in the name of the Lord,
Living as in one accord;
Not as other folks of earth,
Being naive of rebirth.
Their minds are on worthless things,
That temporal pleasure brings;
While misled by the dark,
And enticed when they embark.
God excludes them from the life,
That will take them from the strife;
For ignorance they proclaim,
Since they lack a sense of shame.
They are sluttish from the lust,
Fleshly pleasures that they trust;
With a constant desire,
More pleasure to acquire.
But that is not what you learned,
Into your mind that was burned;
From the things that Christ had taught,
Of fleshy desires sought.
You were taught to change your way,
And told you never to stray;
Discard wants for they deceive,
Blinding how you should believe.
