May A Thousand Smiles
Weeping it seems sustains the moment
Upon your heart broken torments
The inner you, your sanctuary
Trespassed today, feelings it buries
Your treasured chest bares weight unseen
Heavy breathing and broken dreams
Become visual as teardrops fall
Heartache now knocks upon you called
Love seems like it took and crushed
Sincere with trust away it brushed
What you believed would be forever
What once tied you to them it severed
Sentiment now cries and fears
Nothing held back, nothing once dear
Will pick up what was once fragile
Broken like glass, cutting you gradual
Where now to go, where now to hide
Your face distressed are you beside
Yourself with grief, how could this be
Alone claims hold of ecstasy
Squirming relief is not in sight
What kept fuzzy amd warm tonight
Will be absent, empty now shares
A space vacant in you now sacred
May a thousand smiles come to rescue
Dear friend of mine for we are with you
As does our heart today now wears
The suffering, that in you tears
