The Battle Against Me First #358

The Battle Against Me First
And the battle against "Me first," I'll win
as I look upon the little child
in their innocence of play;
Oh, certainly, the others squabble
in their selfishness of “Me First! Me First!”
and, yes, it's understandable in that
there's such a prestigious position at hand,
“The Leader,”
but, this one, this Dear Innocent Child
has so much to teach an
“Old Dog” like me, in that I've taken time
to listen,
“Let's All be first!” she said,
“You go first, First, and I'll go last, First.”
