His Eye Is on the Sparrow (Acrostic) #387
His Eye Is on the Sparrow I never knew such sorrow, Sing praises to His name! Because He lives within me, I'm happy all the same. Happy, alive, and breathing, I cherish every day, Sing, "Glory Hallelujahs!" Because Love came my way. I'm not the one to suffer, Free, I will always be, For loving arms surround me; His arms they carry me. Eye above enlightening Is all the sight I need; On each day, I kneel and pray, The Lord my soul hath freed. Sparrow of God come take me And rise me up above; I want to fly where angels glide, Know Jesus and His Love. He who's known to be my Savior Watches o'er me when I pray; Me, alone, till I come home to be with Him someday. |
