Poems of Lighthouse Bob

Aunt Mae and Leroy #394

Aunt Mae and Leroy

Planned by Your design,
the bunnies hopped, the weasel popped,
the raindrops dropped in tune
that birdie's sing and church bell's ring
prolonged the afternoon
when Aunt Mae in her garden
and Leroy on his plow
stopped work to take a little break,
wherein, their heads they bowed
and, in that very moment,
that moment You gave Grace,
so, when they raised their eyes in gaze,
they grazed each other's brow
and, so, that's why we can't deny
they're still together now.
