Poems of Lighthouse Bob
The Lighthouse by the Sea-Revised (Sonnet) #469
The Lighthouse by the Sea Moist, milky, opalescent fog bank drifts Reluctant mystic evening's moonlit dress Away from naked shoulders, still caressed Where backwashed rocky shore meets surging rifts And, standing, opulent, a beam, erect Implored by fates, does signal from her shore Iconic warrior stationed evermore As pillar, grandiose in sure respect By all who've passed and lived in light of death And known what power grace through him enthralls To those with ravaged souls from tempest's squalls But, still, ‘twas she who held his heart, his breath To live by her and take her as his bride And, thus, he lives and shines where sea collides. |
