Come Fly Away (Rondeau) #459
Come Fly Away (Rondeau) "Come fly away in autumn's breeze," So taunt the leaves blown off the trees Gone twirling, swirling through the sky In auburn mixed with blues on high ... They thrill the poet's eyes and please. I watched them dance across with ease In varied sizes and degrees Of elegance while drifting nigh And whispering their soft reply ... "Come fly away." I watched them serenade and tease And dip they did down to their knees As tumbling wayward, gone awry They all went spinning, grinning by The one, now, letting go its squeeze ... "Come fly away!" |
