Childhood dreams, sweet lullabyes
Adieu. farewell. long said goodbyes
To toys and dolls we clung unto
When childreen were both me and you
Breakfeast at table with family
Pancakes, with syrup so buttery
The taste of wine with company
At fireside these too we'd see
Growing pains of puppy love
These simple things that all know of
Begin and end as Sunrise falls
To rest as Sunset upon us falls
The love we lost so long ago
Wife or husband these too we'd know
Thought as if forever was
Today different as some will pause
Reflections past that made us whole
Today gather as dusk now tolls
Another day of life passing
Before our eyes forever lasting
The things we love and did we mention
The losing of our full attention
To those today we overlook
With dust on them, like old read books
Attention span our life so brief
Beomes now aged and like a thief
It steals the joy of breath today
Today this write we pray will lay
More than a thought, more than some time
To share with those that come to mind
As time will come where dust becomes
Whats left of us, when life is done
