 Tooth Crown Analogy

After my root canal was done
Temporary crown was put on
Replaced with permanent today
Crown protects tooth from decay

Years later it may need to come out
According to what others talk about
Better to save your teeth if you can
Since God gives only one set to man

Other images of crowns came to mind
There is hope, yet many are still blind
If you already know Him, then rejoice
If without Him, then listen to His voice

Jesus' birth was not how we view royalty
By way of the manger in lowly humility
Prophecies of the Messiah coming as King
Fulfilled in His mission salvation to bring

Crown of thorns placed on Jesus' head
Dying for sins and rising from the dead
Believers are now crowned with royalty
New bodies will one day rise up to glory

All redeemed will gather around His throne
Lifting up our voices in praise to Jesus alone
Oh the great joy when in heaven we all meet
Laying down our crowns at the Savior's feet

As a line says from a song that I love to sing
With Jesus my Savior I'm a child of the King
I have accepted Jesus as my Savior from sin
Are you His child by asking Him to come in?

If not, God is knocking on your heart today
Will you invite Him in without any delay?
Admit your sin and believe He died for you
Rose again; salvation is not by what you do

1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises
of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
