Without Fear - part V
traveling through the night silently again alone at the request of his mistress the changeling keeps a weary eye keen hearing alert he was in evil domain once more he traveled the evil road knowing not where he was heading to traveling deep within the bowls of terror masking his presence as he went changeling do you go forth without fear he felt the terrors of the night reached deep into the heart of the beast himself the tales they heard of this evil beast brought fear even to him he forged ahead he must see this beast feel him to know him could this be done he asked himself the attempt must be done to be rid of this evil one that threatened the realm itself changeling do you go forth without fear he knew his risks he knew his powers but were they enough for his task at hand could they keep him safe would the beast be more than he had thought it to be with a slight tremor at the doubt he forged ahead deeper into the darkened realm unholy sounds began to be heard stealthily he went further deeper into the unknown changeling do you go forth without fear cringing behind the boulder he felt himself being drawn into the fervor of their dance the screams and howls of the creatures around the flames while the beast looked on the wingspan was enormous the grotesque head the body of the beast drew them on feeling the draw he tried to resist could he hold out as the beast gazed in his direction changeling do you go forth without fear feeling his will lessen some the battle within began to build the changeling fought hard could the beast be stronger than they had anticipated could it penetrate his defenses digging deep within himself he drew more strength and enforced his shield to cover him leaving his spot carefully withdrawing he had seen enough now he must try to return home changeling do you go forth without fear Vote for this poem
