As I write a poem it is
not for fame and gain
Nor do I write it on
an easy chair quite insane
No poetry do I write
to some long lost flame
Though sometimes I write
My love of Children's games
Nor do I enter contests
For inspection of my very bests
I write hoping someone might read
To spark interest in someone's need
And yes indeed I do read others
For all in poetry are my brothers
So if sometime you find in what I write
Something you think is not really right
Let me know in some form of critique
For that writing not rewritten is weak
No drugs do I use just the truth
Nor would I sway the vote in a voting booth
You find something in this write in jest of you
Then my friend it is being read by that fool!
