The Dreams You DreamTo my lovely daughter Cindy-Anna on her 28th birthday 22/10/81 Happy Birthday baby, love you always will Mum xxx My little girl is twenty-eight Thirty standing at the gate. Scared of growing old too fast Tries to make each moment last. Loves too hard with all her soul But she makes a perfect whole Works her fingers to the bone Hardly ever stays at home Daughter, wife and mother too All the things she has to do Teaches driving, studies law Does it all without a flaw Never forgets to give a call To family `cause she loves us all Lives her life at sonic speed Within her soul there is a need To make the most of every minute Using everything that`s in it. Slow down baby, not so fast You are young so make it last Find some time to just be you Believe in everything you do Do not care what others say You`re the best in every way You have earned the right to be Just believe and you will see All the dreams you dream come true Just by being lovely you Vote for this poem |
