BROOM IN THE MIST

Outside in an October morning mist
I saw her on a broom flying I insist
Long crooked nose in a black cape
Oh from the darkness of evil children escape
The candy is purchased orange lights on the deck
I hope it doesn't rain I enjoy the trickeater's by heck
I will open the door appearing evil with a Kiss mask
The neighbor kids all know me fooling them a task
I hand out treats to the parents too that's for sure
Inside so decorated they come in for a tour
I remember when I was a kid I was always Frankenstein

Hurt when said aren't you too old for trick or candy eating
As at least for one candy I would be pleading
Some of the kids up front were younger than me
It was tough being the tallest in my class you see
