A WARM FALL DAYUnsaid words can bring on such pain The tears that flow from falls rain I loved you once but don't love you anymore Words sent to a serviceman on a distant shore Is falling out of love as easy as going in I remember friends in love how did it end? If two people work at love it will go on forever But then who am I to think I am so clever On November 17th it will be 48 years Each day I must say I love you the meanings clear So many kids today forget let their love fade away Old and retired who will love you share your day On a warm fall day whose memories will fade away For love that is real is a growing thing And this fall I will hold your hand and wait for spring True love never dies and someday I will wait for you In your heart I will be in that true love we knew Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
