How Are You?
Joe: How are you?
Mary: I'm here.
Joe: I didn't ask you, where you were.
I asked you, how are you?
Mary: I'm here.
Joe: What?
Mary: I'm here.
Joe: That doesn't answer the question right. Correctly.
Mary: That's exactly what I mean, Joe.
Joe: You're confusing the hell out of me.
Mary: No. I shouldn't be.
Joe: How are you?
Mary: I'm here. The answer wasn't "fine" or "good."
Joe: Oh, I think I get it. You're being funny.
Mary: Yes and no.
Joe: Is it like "so-so" or "I could be better."
Mary: Bingo. You know me.
Joe: You're here, not elsewhere.
Mary: I'm here. I'm here. I'm here. I'm be-bopping
along and I don't feel well.
Joe: Your translation serves me well. Your flesh
is here, but your spirit needs improvement.
Mary: Yes. How are you?
Mary: I'm here.
Joe: I didn't ask you, where you were.
I asked you, how are you?
Mary: I'm here.
