 The Five Horseman

Alone,
within an abyss of darkness
You stumble,
upon a clattering of rocks!
Bare feet, cut, bloody and
sore- Bending down, you reach into
nothingness- You feel first
one, then two, sharp rocks.
As you bang them together- A spark
arrives giving a glimpse of dried leaves.
Scrambling over you touch them- Smashing
the rocks together, sparks fly-Until
the leaves become a fire, a light,
a beacon within this darkest
and most terrible Place-
You realise, there is
Hope!

How easy it is to mistake hate for hurt-
And allow past feelings, to send you berserk.
Thinking about the injustice of past actions –
Erasing the memory of past infatuations.

It's like drinking hot acid,
that sticks in your chest…
Making your stomach tie up
in knots! It lingers, for days,
until it reaches your mind.
You question the morality
of humankind.
Like eating sandwiches with metal in-
You feel heavy inside
you're suffering.
Images, and thoughts, plague your daily routine.
You think it was all
a dream. It takes years maybe
a lifetime to get rid of it.
On good days you feel like
shit!
Then parasite that did this
 to you… infects you with
Hurt.

My blood
stained sword, talks of,
judgement.
Rendering vengeance
on my enemies.
I repay those who hated me-
With arrows dunk in poison
My sword
will devour flesh,
My anger
will cause a bloody flood!
I will rip down
Forests; with my gauntlet of pain.
My anger
has subsided-
nothing, will be the same.
As the sound of
steal and
bone meet- Vengeance!

A flowers
Petals shaped like hearts,
Red in colour,
Stem is strong,
Slim; sublime.
Roots dig deep
into salvation,
Integrating within the
earth…the hot sun feeds you-
Tears of rain
come down…
Quenching natural
Beauty.
Everyday you grow
into a single word-
Perfection.
