Email Poem | Today's Poetry

 Time Draws Near
The clock ticks as breathe we do
Another day, maybe a few
Are left for us to write
Another plea with soul we fight

Grasp at straws to fill ourselves
Like the Straw Man where empty dwells
No brain, no will, so falling short
Pulled apart, life we abort

Alone the trials will win today
If we don't grasp on knees we pray
To He who made the path to go
To us alone who fades and still says no

Anger supersedes our peace
Confused, our daze that does not cease
Brings the rain today as in the past
Brings it's pain with shadow cast

Darkness seeks to comfort us
Seeking a place to press it's lust
Upon our soul that does not trust
The GOD prescribed, mankind's a must

Time will someday end for all
The need to hear to He that calls
You and I today that withers
A mess that walks, now all but slithers

Time draws near as does the day
