Change in My Attitude
Unable to understand what is happening;
Life seems to be falling apart around me.
Where is the stress, the worry, the angst;
Where is that person I used to be?
A peaceful calm in the face of the storm;
Gently rocking my soul with words of hope.
Unable to comprehend this move of faith;
Yet able to embrace the moment once again.
Feeling great distance between God and I;
Running so hard, there must be a huge gap.
But when I turned, hoping to maybe find Him;
He was standing before me, arms open wide.
Grace overwhelmed me with waves of forgiveness;
Seeing without the filters of sin and separation.
Bright is the horizon in my life, no matter what;
A change in my attitude brought me God's peace.
