I died one day so I could understand living
I looked down at me as I floated away
All around were reckonings of past mistakes
Friends I once knew that I had long forgot
I looked down below for on the bed I lay
Yet no one was there to pronounce me dead
Some dreams you float and fly and then awake
It was not as though I had forgot past and presence
And those floating about I knew had gone before
And the enticement to join them hard to ignore
The tunnel orange warm so inviting to my flight
There beyond The Angel of love in bright white light
I looked down to the body I had left still as death
And I saw my wife as she stirred quietly in rest
It was then in fog I heard her calling out my name
Shaking the unmoving body below seemed so strange
For I knew that was me and not my time to go
Unheard I screamed silent words and fell far below
"Dandy, are you alright--you frightened me!"
Out of the body experience--I knew I had died
But life was returned to me I had a second chance
From that moment on I can honestly say I don't fear dying
But there were new adventures on earth I should be trying
Doctor said, "Dandy, have you ever had a heart attack?"
Then I started hearing about something called life after death
How could I tell him I had crossed over and come back
How could I tell him I died one day and later went to work
But others have seen the tunnel and come back just as I
Been through the tunnel seen heaven and have no fear going back
