 November's Chill
November's chill brings back the memories of winter's past;
As the warm lazy days are now passing away very fast.
I have always wished for an eternal summer, that it would last;
Reality comes rushing into my soul by the cold wind's blast.
Wishing to live somewhere tropical so I can stay nice and warm;
Not caring about those hurricanes or another tropical storm.
For the eternal warmth will bolster my soul and it will transform;
But I step outside this morning, and November's chill does inform.
I stop and realize that there is a blessing in the changes of the air;
For the cold teaches me the it's value, I become much more aware.
Awake! Like with a big cup of coffee, the winter does declare;
Seeing the trap that is waiting for me, escaping from the snare.
Life is about change, but it is about rhythmic promises as well;
This spiral of life transforms us as we are released from our cell.
Our senses alive, preparing us for the life that we each dwell;
Love holds us tight as November's chill rings the warning bell.
Winter is now coming again, brace yourself for the biting cold;
We have a variety that the tropics will never allow to be told.
This is a true blessing, much more precious that pure gold;
The spiral of life continues, eternal change, our destiny will unfold.
