I feel calmer now when thinking of you
though the love in my heart still the same
and I no longer cry when we say goodbye
but the tears in my heart still remain.
I often smile now with memories old
and I have such sweet memories of you
as I would watch you grow…learn and know
of all in this life you would do.
These long years apart did break my heart
but they helped to make me a man
I just hope you see that between you and me
I am trying the best that I can?
For my three daughters
I hope I am granted the chance to be a father again?
