This Is My Prayer
It's over troubled waters
your life leads you go
but alone you will never walk
my precious one this you must know
Oh my little one
on bended knee I pray
That God will guide you
upon this road you walk today
The decisions needed
are far beyond your tender years
The road you are to embark
brings such heart tears
I see disolved dreams
bright future lights dim
You standing upon
one of life's cracking limbs
A mile in your shoes
I have walked
I know the hard times
so this is not just talk
If not for a bright shining future
would be easier to accept
I place you today in God's Hands
to be safely kept
My love for you
is steady and strong
I will be by your side
my whole life long
I pray you will know
the love that surrounds you
and family does not abondon
regardless of what you do
Alone you will never be
Upon this road you trod
You have family who adores you
and the love of our precious God
So in His hands you I do place
to keep you safe from harm
through this
one of many life's storms
