Through The Eyes Of A Poet...

Ooooer Especially For You!

You IM'd me one night,
To protect me from a troubled room,
You sat and watched, and watched some more,
Coz I was about to meet my doom!

Now I never use the rooms,
Because they're nasty places to be,
I'd rather work my web site,
And chat in IM's, you see!

But I always get distress calls,
Cos I'm known on AOL chat…
To help out in times of trouble,
Because they send for poor old 'Cat!'

You know it's really nice...
To be rescued for a change,
Cos when 'I'm' a damsel in distress,
Help just can't be arranged!

I have been on AOL for a while,
About 18 months you see,
And in that time, I've made lots of friends,
Coz I like them and they like me!

I'm particular whom I chat to,
I'm a very careful dame,
So to my 'knight in shining armour,'
I'm glad to my rescue you came!

When you came to my IM,
You were almost put on 'ignore,'
Cos I hate to chat to strangers!
On 'AOL' you have to know the score!

But, you showed concern and caring,
And that my lad, you see…!
Is what kept me chatting to you!
It's a very perceptive cat, I be!

Joking all apart now,
(Ooooer, serious now, this seems),
If I'm ever in need of assistance,
Be sure, you'll hear my screams!

Friends on here that I have made,
They're both women and men,
And though we've known each other a while,
I'm careful once again!

But, what can I say?
You really are so sweet!
So much so, I have to add,
I'm glad we we're fated to meet.

We Say 'ooooer' often,
Me and you, we have a laugh,
Seanthingy and catmalan,
(But we're really Sean and Cath)!

You say the nicest things,
But I'm afraid I have to add,
You're very computer illiterate,
Your P.C. skills are really sad!

But in compensation,
You're such a smashing lad,
(Did I say that already)?
Ooooer, well, you're really not three bad!

Well, the morel of this ditty is…
Sean you are a star,
And no matter where you are in life,
You'll shine wherever you are!

I think what I'm trying to say though?
Is that Sean, I'm glad we 'met,'
But be sure of this, I am a pain,
And you're stuck with what you get!

To know me is to…whatever?
Ooooer, to be driven up the wall!
So I think I will retract what I said,
And forget to make that call!

Coz you might say to me:
'You really are a pain!'
'You drive me up the wall,'
'So I won't be phoning again!'

Wow, would I be gutted,
To lose a smashing mate,
Coz after all, when said and done,
We met and it's down to fate!

In all seriousness though,
I'm glad that we got to chat,
How else would we have this friendship?
Sean and this peep called Cat!

Love, Catherine
