Our Little Chat!
We chatted in our IM today,
About lots of things and stuff,
And I said I'd set it to poetry,
Well let's see if it's good enough?
We discussed my poetry in depth,
And the meanings of them too,
My life, others lives, different things,
A day in the lives of me and you!
I wrote a new one the other night,
And you really like it a lot,
But I was going to delete it,
And you said I should be shot!
You love the way I write them,
And the feelings that lie therein,
Straight from the heart to the computer
Once I know where to begin.
All I need it's the title,
And then it's on its way,
Just like that it's written,
And I write them every day.
Now the time it's taken…
For me to write this rhyme,
Is all of 14 minutes!
And that for me is a very long time!
They say that I'm prolific,
In that the words fall from my brain,
And every time I think that's it…
Another rhyme pops out again!
I told you I never edit or change
A word, a phrase or a line,
As it falls onto the page,
Is the way it stays all the time.
You say I speak from the heart,
And yes, I'm afraid I do,
And sometimes I think I shouldn't,
But I'm afraid I will always do.
I speak as I find and I never lie,
And every things written from my heart,
Me and my words, for I love English,
Are so very easy to part!
I'm just a very lucky person,
For a gift was given to me,
To vent my pain and anger on paper,
To help me to cope with my life you see.
I use my poems as therapy,
And also as a personal boost for me,
I write out my troubles and thoughts,
And banish my pain you see.
So today we chatted in IM,
And I said that I'd do this rhyme,
And tell you how long it took to complete,
It was done in 15 minutes and made good time!
Now I just want to say something to you,
You're a person so good, so fine and true!
And for the record Steve,
I'm glad I have a friend in you!
