Shut Yer Face!

My, oh my, oh dear me,
What a saying that is,
Not very nice at all,
But it certainly does the biz!

If someone's shouting at me,
And they're being very rude,
I just shout right back to them…
‘Shut yer face, you prude!'

It always brings a reaction,
No matter what shape or form,
But one thing about that saying,
The replies are far from the norm!

'Shut yer face,' is a saying,
That scousers use all the time,
We don't take offence, it's meant in fun,
So to us lot, its just fine!

We have different sayings,
Scouse slang is all the rage,
We use abbreviations all the time,
We're taught from an early age.

'Giz a bit,' is a common one,
And, 'eh lad, watch yer gob,'
'Who're yer lookin at kid,' is another,
When we're addressing another yob!

'Oooer, eh luv, giz a kiss,'
Is another every day word,
Some are unrepeatable,
And others you aint never heard.

'Oi, warra ye doin'?'
Is a saying always used,
Yep, I must admit it,
The English Language is abused!

But…we're lovely people,
Always up for a laugh,
We give not take help not hurt!
And the bread of life is our staff!

So when you meet a scouser,
Give them a nod and a wink as you pass,
Cos after all, when said and done,
We scouse gits all have class!
