 THE POET'S VOICE
You steal the breath
from my very soul
when you speak my name...

The timbre of your whisper
haunts my thoughts
and lives within my
fantasies...

Tenor tones you spill
in sweet and soothing
strains of verse
bring warmth to my
awaiting senses...

In secret sighs
the utterance of your
deepest desires
reach out to
inhabit my heart...

Forever held
willingly captive
I surrender to
the sound and spirit
of the poet's
seductive voice.
