STORIES YOU DON'T TELL PART TWO

So no one will feel sorry for me
No I don't suffer I let it be
Mom died very young at 54
So the pain she lived I cannot ignore
My sister she suffered the most
The day she died dad was a ghost
Many a day I sat watching the door
The more I hated wanted him more
Now I have children of my own
Grandchildren for they have grown
No hand a woman will be touched in front of me
I can't as others did look away your see
But today that is all in my past
And Mom and sis safe in heaven at last
That shrived old man at six foot five
Irony a coal truck driver--doing the shoveling jive
In war years he hid from serving in shame
And all his excuses for being a man lame
A man who beats women not really a man
And I think shoveling coals for the devil the plan
This probably brings out my father's feminine side
For the devil doesn't care about a man's false pride
