Fight the Right Foe
I ask you be gentle and kind,
Talk to others to ease their mind;
Just as I am humble with you,
Have your heart always remain true.
Even though in God I abide,
Human emotions still inside;
And it is a struggle to deal,
With something you try to conceal.
Because that I have seen the light,
I fear that human motives might;
Try in guiding me the wrong way,
And possibly lead me astray.
So I must stay on our guard,
And earthly thoughts I must discard;
Already for fighting the foe,
That God explained that I must know.
But it is not within the plan,
For using weapons made by man;
Rather strong weapons from the Lord,
At one time in Heaven that were stored.
Although we need having insight,
Knowing which foe that we should fight;
So if you go to God in prayer,
Then the Lord is willing to share.
