For My Fox...What A Lot Of Effort And Time…
If I said that spent hours on end,
Working and building this site,
It wouldn't be an understatement,
I've had many a sleepless night!
The poems I have added here…
Go way back from God knows when?
Coz every time I try to add one,
A new one pops out again!
So all in all, wow, what effort,
Has been invested in this site,
Hours of backbreaking work,
No wonder I look a fright!
I've toiled and fretted and cried,
Trying to work my magic,
But sometimes I've been up the wall,
And had catastrophes verging on tragic!
I take what I do very seriously,
And throw myself into my work,
One thing about this poet...
You'll never see her shirk!
This came from a thought I had,
And one day I said to Fox...
'I wana build a web site,'
'With poem's, and not with blocks!
Well, what can I say to that?
In a flash he said...'Do it!'
I went sick, hit a brick,
And wow did I go through it!
So I started my site one day,
And after a time, so long
I had a 'glitch' and what a mess,
Everything went wrong!
Oh blimey, I lost all my work,
Golly gee, you should have seen me cry...
Disappeared, just like that...
I didn't even know why?
Crying in my soup,
I went to Fox and said...
'I'm packing it all in...'
'This site is almost dead!'
Oooooer, what a reaction,
He hit the flippin' roof,
'Don't you dare!' He said to me,
(Ask him, he's the proof)!
He told me in no uncertain terms,
If I gave up then...
He'd be upset, (what a surprise),
Said he'd never speak to me again!
Well I have to admit it,
No way would we ever fall out,
That wasn't in the equation,
There was never any doubt!
You see its a bit like this...
Fox is my mentor and mate,
Without whom this site would not be here,
In fact, it would be in a state!
Tis a very hard thing to undertake,
Building and working a site,
And whenever I needed my mentor,
Fox was there every night!
What I'm trying to say is...
This peep is so special to me,
He lives inside my heart...
I love his bones you see!
But, he already knows this,
Cos I tell him all the time...
But once again, I'll reiterate,
Fox...you are sublime!
