Letting Go
Inside the heart that pains with grief
Today worn soul yours seeks relief
Darkness seems to cover you
The hope one kept now broken too
You seek to hide yourself today
As all is lost and though you pray
Answers forsake your calls unheard
Waking from sleep this too disturbed
They left your side and more than this
They left your world on cheek yours kissed
Dreams broken now work their way
Into each nook and cranny lays
What could have been but is no more
No breath seems worth in lungs you've stored
Yet in this hour of pain you feel
The warmth once felt and life's appeal
Comes to whisper one more time
Be still and know they now are mine
Your love He keeps, no longer sleeps
They walk with Him on golden streets
Paved for them and you too come
To live again in His Kingdom
Today seems long but do not weep
Just take one step in faith and leap
Into the arms who calms all storms
From last breath drawn in CHRIST reborn
