Sweet song
A sweet song of joy rises,
Rises to God's throne above,
A song full of gratitude,
Gratitude for God's mercy and love.
The inner man acknowledges,
Acknowledges the blackness within,
Then cringes under God's spotlight,
God's spotlight exposing my sin.
My song then continues,
Continues to glorify Christ.
A song remembering His sacrifice,
His sacrifice has given new life.
Glory and praise alone are his,
His because he saw my tragic need,
His sacrifice covered my blackness,
My blackness has been cleansed indeed.
