Mankind

Photobucket
this world is not yours to destroy
it was a trust for the survival of the future
a care entrusted to you for them to enjoy
oh mankind what have you done

to give them hope for another day
show them need to care for what they have
the preservation of animals forests oceans
oh mankind what have you done

nurture what God had entrusted to us to do
show them the value of co-existence with life
to take care of our home with respect and pride
oh mankind what have you done

not destroy what we all need for survival
this is the only home we will ever have
are the predictions of our demise true
oh mankind what have you done

will we pollute that which feeds us
provides us plenty of life that abounds
is this to be our death a horrible one
oh mankind what have you done
