 The Moment Is
The present moment is.
I can like it, or hate it;
Embrace it, or resist it.
It doesn't matter; the moment is.
I ask why I cannot accept it?
I wish to change the moment,
But I can't; I am powerless.
It doesn't matter; the moment is.
I look into my resistance and see
That I hide in the future,
Or scurry into the past.
It doesn't matter; the moment is.
I turn to face this present moment.
It is only my judgment that defines
It as worthy of my presence or not.
It doesn't matter; the moment is.
This is the power that I have long sought.
If I don't judge, there is nothing to resist.
This moment is only life unfolding before me.
It doesn't matter; the moment is.
Is this surrender? You might ask.
Yes, but with alignment, creation may happen;
Change may sprout forth in acceptance.
It doesn't matter; the moment is.
