Some Wear A Mask
Halloween has now come and gone
Yet many wear a mask all year long
They seem to be a christian to some
Yet their actions are still ungodly at home
The persons you live with daily is a witness
Does your actions and ways reflect the Lord Jesus?
Many seem to forget that God sees all
Are you doing your best to beckon unto His call?
Does others see the Lord Jesus in you?
Or does your actions cause them to reject the truth?
A true christian is daily being renewed
Old things pass away as far as speech and choices too
We are called to come out from amongst them
To put to death the flesh of our carnal man
No longer conforming to things of this world
But to hearken and be a doer of the word
I myself speak out in obedience not to condemn
Neither did Jesus but in hopes to save men
It is true all fall short of the glory of God
When we deserved judgement and hell Jesus paid the cost
So with all that Jesus done upon Calvary
It is the least we can do to obey His teachings
To shine like a beacon for all the world to see
Not live like the devil except on Sunday
The all seeing eye knows each heart
Today turn from evil for a new start
Stop allowing the devil to guide or use you
Where ever you go would Jesus go too?
You may have excepted Jesus as your Savior
Can others see a change in your behavior?
Are you a walking testimony of what God can do?
Or do you still seek after the things you use to?
The bible is God's word to renew your mind
To become more like Jesus, loving and kind
Does your words uplift to show God's love?
Not arguementative but gentle as a dove
It is written death and life is in the tongue
And our words will condemn or justify us each one
So who's report are you going to believe?
It is obedience to God that His promises we receive
The word christian actually means Christlike
Do you daily walk in love or offend and cause strife?
Jesus came with a new commandment which is "Love"
If you fall short on this one it's the same as breaking every one
For "Love" is the foundation for the body of Christ Jesus
You're nothing but a sounding brass if you walk not in this
It is written:"Ye shall know them by the fruit they bare"
I pray none are offended for I am just God's pen to share

1 Tim 4:1,7-16
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly,
that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,
giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables,
and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
8 For bodily exercise profiteth little:
but godliness is profitable unto all things,
having promise of the life that now is,
and of that which is to come.
9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach,
because we trust in the living God,
who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
11 These things command and teach.
12 Let no man despise thy youth;
but be thou an example of the believers, in word,
in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
13 Till I come, give attendance to reading,
to exhortation, to doctrine.
14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee,
which was given thee by prophecy,
with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them;
that thy profiting may appear to all.
16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine;
continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt
both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
James 4:1-10
1 From whence come wars and fightings among you?
come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have,
and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not,
because ye ask not.
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss,
that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses,
know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God?
whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain,
The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith,
God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.
Cleanse your hands, ye sinners;
and purify your hearts,ye double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep:
let your laughter be turned to mourning,
and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord,
and he shall lift you up.
