SONNET 1: TO BECOME ONE (wings2fly 11/20/2009)
This is my first attempt at writing a sonnet. I realize there are inconsistencies in the archaic grammar, and I'm not sure if I have the rhyme sequence correct. I'll work on getting it down, as I write more. Constructive Feedback is requested....Thank you so much.
Sonnet 1: To Become One
Searching yonder for his undying love
Will it be tomorrow thy treasures find?
Let mine delicate hand touch stronghold of
His grip that assures true loving in kind
Words be mere symbols for eyes that see thought
Intangible world finds dreams of our day
To have, hold and cherish thy lifetime sought
Wishes be realized for these I pray
Equal hearts and souls fly aligned wings do
With certes unto loving arms time's nigh
Whereinto this joy in treasured land new
Verily I say mine oath I shall cry
Unto mine heart I covet usward due
Harmony erelong become one with you
