POETIC BANDAGE
This is a dedication to anyone who has lost their inspiration… or in other words....
their muse.
Oh parting is such sweet sorrow
Empty hearts and minds run deep
So many will come to miss
Their daily dose of words to reap
Riddance ever so faultless now
Farewell to the one called ‘thee'
Let the embers of disdain cool
Unseen reality's demise to meet
Heed these words: ‘only one knows'
Drifting eyes have fallen ever wide
One watches new fantasies unfurl
The other sees the love of his life
Poetic addiction, seductive space
If not here? Then somewhere else?
Where verses glean on glowing stages
Guided by literary stars of wealth
Dear sleeping beauty, if only you knew
To him in which she holds tight
There's poetic justice needing fulfilled
Fronting innocent displays he writes
Sweet by and by gives tick to the tock
As time carries the calls from the chime
Day's roll by for unsuspecting reasons
To give others elusive shared time
Let this reverie calm all your fears
Dear poets... need not feel loss
Your poetic bandage hides under cloaks
Soothing souls for about any cost
Calm your sad spirits dearest ones
Thy bandage will mend your hearts
For missing exemplary words indeed
This puzzle piece has fallen apart
Whosoever thinks poetic reins let go?
For the ability tell truth in word?
Only a few will come to know depth
Of talent no longer understood
This is for all others to believe
Whose hearts cannot ever accept
Deep dark secrets hidden in style
Never this craft to become inept!
May these words provide comfort
And bring hope to all who weep
Do not grieve over your loving muse
He's just immersed himself too deep
