Can We Learn

Photobucket
i sometimes wonder about this life we live where we are always judged
decisions made have a profound impact on how we are perceived now
we can never make up the hurt infliced on others but suffer ourselves
can we learn to live with ourselves for what was done in the past

mistakes are made to grow but some are made to suffer consequences
forgiveness sometime never given love ignored punishment to be dealt
tears flow constantly at the loss of those loved never to understand or care
can we learn to live with ourselves for what was done in the past

to dream of being a part once more is dashed upon the rocks of life
shows one dreams are only dreams lifes purposes a thing of the past
life goes on be the best you can wait for the day you die for forgiveness
can we learn to live with ourselves for what was done in the past

then you realize that even death can not guarantee forgiveness to be granted
i forgave my father before his death my lesson learned life is so fragile
once lost it can never be again the loss can never be made up either
can we learn to live with ourselves for what was done in the past
