Christmas Rush
Thanksgiving is now only a few days away;
My sack is still empty, laying in my sleigh.
Caught once again, unprepared for the season;
Why do I wait so long, what is the reason?
Am I thrilled by the frantic rush or the bustle?
Whatever the reason, I know that I better hustle.
For the ones in my life that I so dearly love,
I want that perfect gift, one inspired from above.
I always promise that next year, I will prepare;
Next year this season will not catch me unaware.
