You were my rock
Its so easy to face your demons
That's the lesson you taught me well
You made me stand tall and face them
Through all my misery and hell
The rock that i often leaned on
A shoulder for me to cry
Yes i stood tall because of you
I faced every evil and lie
There were times i walked away
Left you standing here all alone
But in my heart you were always there
In my heart you were home from home
And now the tables have turned
Its now your turn to walk away
And its not easy to face those demons
On this sad sad winters day
If ever you change your mind
And decide one day to return
I will be here waiting my friend
With a heart that will ache and yearn
