STREET  PAVING

GET A LITTLE PIECE AND QUIET,
GET RID OF THE DIRT AND DUST
THEY'VE BEEN PAVING OUR STREET FOR A MONTH
NOW HOUSE CLEANING IS A MUST.

EVERYTHING LOOKS SO WONDERFUL
NICE AS IT CAN BE.
THE WORK IS DONE, THE SOD IS LAID
THE REST IS UP TO ME.

I'M SO GLAD THEY FINALLY DID OUR STREET
IT WAS AN AWFUL MESS
WITH POTHOLES AND CRUMBLING RUTS,
BUT NOW --IT'S JUST THE BEST

NO LONGER AM I EMBARRASSED,
WHEN MY FRIENDS DECIDE TO CALL,
EVERYTHING LOOKS SO SPICK AND SPAN,
I NOW AM READY FOR FALL.
