ICE FISHING

SOME MEN GO FISHING ON THE ICE
SOME FALL THROUGH ONCE OR TWICE

WHAT BRINGS THEM THERE, WHEN IT'S SO DARN COLD?
IT'S THE LURE OF THE FISH -- OR SO I AM TOLD

IF THAT DON'T BEAT ALL--I'D LIKE TO KNOW
TO SIT ON THE ICE , WITH A POLE IN A HOLE!

HOURS GO BY WITH A NIBBLE OR TWO
AND IF YOU'RE LUCKY--GO HOME WITH A FEW

THEN YOU MUST CLEAN THEM,THEN THAW OUT YOUR FEET
PUT THE FISH IN THE FREEZER 'TIL YOU'RE READY TO EAT.

NOW DOESN'T IT MAKE SENSE, TO GO TO THE STORE
WHERE THEY'RE ALREADY CLEANED AND BUY SOME MORE?

IT'S GOT TO BE A MAN THING FOR SURE-- I KNOW
'CAUSE NOT MANY GALS WOULD WANT TO GO.
