HAPPY  HALLOWEEN

ONE HALLOWEEN I DRESSED UP IN WITCH CLOTHES,
WITH LONG GREY HAIR AND A WARTY LIT UP NOSE

I PAINTED MY FACE AND HANDS AN AWFUL GREEN
THE UGLIEST WITCH YOU EVER SEEN,

A POINTY BLACK HAT AND BLACK EYES TO MATCH
A CAPE AND GOWN, COMPLETED THE BATCH.

ALONG CAME THE KIDDIES, BIG AND SMALL
THE BIGGER ONES LOVED IT-THE WEE ONES- NOT AT ALL.

I TRIED TO TELL THEM " I'M A GOOD WITCH",
THEY DIDN'T BELIEVE ME AND SOME THREW A FIT

TWO LITTLE BOYS HID IN THEIR MOTHERS SKIRT.
ONE KID THOUGHT IF I TOUCHED HIM MY GREEN SKIN WOULD HURT

A GIRL ABOUT 6 , REFUSED TO COME UP TO THE DOOR
PITCHED A FIT , THOUGHT I'D GET HER FOR SURE

IT WAS 'SUPPOSED TO MAKE IT A FUN TIME FOR THEM
BUT THE LESSON "I" LEARNED WAS, NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!
