Following His ExampleSince Christ had suffered a great deal, Think about just how we should feel; By taking the same attitude, Never hide from or elude. For one who has suffered within, No longer be subject of sin; Not guided by those desires, Making you cheaters and liars. Living the rest of our lives, As spiritualism survives; Is keeping you within His love, And your mind on the things above. Then each and every day through, God guides what He wants you to do; No time to spend on earthly things, Or questing on lustful cravings. You did much of that in the past, When you were a worldly outcast; Getting drunk at wild parties, And uttering obscenities. Unbelievers will criticize, Start rumors as they make up lies; They have to account to the Judge, The reason why they hold a grudge. Copyright © 2009 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
