My mother brought me up as single mum
She was my father and mother and she
Played these roles wonderfully well
She pampered me like all mothers do
She scolded me like all fathers do
When I was erroneous & disobedient
She taught me many things in life
She told me if I cannot say something
Nice to people, do not say anything at all.
When I did not use my power to discern
She used to ask me if everyone jumped
Off a cliff, would you do it too?
This helped me to take decisions in my life
And made me an independent person in my life
And I loved my mother more than anything in life.
She made me aware how important
I am to her in all her deeds but
I never got a chance to tell her
How important she is in my life
But I am sure, she knows how much
I love her, because she is always with me
