A Glance At God

JesusOnThrone
In Eternity past God limited His form
To dwell in a place He called Heaven
Yet His Spirit filled every space in the universe.
Two thousand years ago God limited His form
To dwell in a place He called Earth...
Came in the form of man to free us from The Curse.

Our fragile and finite minds will never grasp
The greatness or fathom the full measure of God.
He is too big to fill our senses and much too complex.
He is too mysterious to figure out
To the smallest detail, much less on a grand scale.
He can't be mapped and marked with an X.

Photobucket

He is the Alpha and Omega...the beginning and the end.
But, He has provided adequate instruction
Through His Word for us to be able to glance in.
And, although we see through a glass darkly,
We can walk in the illuminating Light of Christ
And have a relationship with God through Him.

If we have wondered about our purpose in life
And just why we were placed upon this planet,
We need not dwell on reasons or wonder anymore.
Scripture states we were created for God's good pleasure.
Not only does He interact with us...He enjoys us.
He is a Father to all who walk through The Door.

And The Door, of course, is the Lord Jesus Christ
Who became The Way to The Father through His sacrifice
On our behalf on the cruel Cross of Calvary.
God-in all His awesome attributes- may be hard to understand
But He is extremely easy to reach.
He's an approachable, forgiving God...a God who loves you and me.

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:
if any man hear my voice,
and open the door, I will come in to him,
and will sup with him, and he with me.

James 1:17-27
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and cometh down from the Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth,
that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren,
let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

20For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of
naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word,
which is able to save your souls.

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only,
deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer,
he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way,
and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty,
and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer,
but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

26 If any man among you seem to be religious,
and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart,
this man's religion is vain.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this,
To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction,
and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
