"Night of the Cross", begun as a poem
On a blackboard the teacher wrote
"A poem accepted by Writer's magazine
In my class given "A",for semester poetry!"
I didn't read let alone write such pillage
Low and behold poem one of the five best
Awarded Honorable mention page 34
Skeletons doggerel jingle long forgotten
Importance of the time it left me verse less
But not from Dear Educationist unassigned
A protagonist, person of interest and place
"But you said?" "For your detective story"
Priest, Paul driving a Porsche and a near by Park
Dear me the shortest of stories it never became
Years later now I await the calling of my name
No Agent,publisher has read my story I can do no more
"Night of the Cross", is now out the door
Paul Dallon novels in my head too much to ignore
I can stall no longer every story needs an ending
Today, "Revenge of the Dove", has it's beginnings.
