 Confession of a Gym Rat
Looking silently at the powerful forces that drive me;
Searching for the motivation that fires up my intensity.
Simple are the answers that come back from my heart;
I just love to push my limits, I have from the very start.
The burn of sweat in my eyes, it's salty taste on my lips;
My focus on the present moment, able to come to grips.
Stress leaves my body, a gentle burn is all that does remain;
For the love of movement, this is the reason I work and train.
No goal outside of my inner self draws me to work out so hard;
Only the passionate love of effort, this is the reward I regard.
Not the desire to be buff, nor the drive to trim off the excess fat;
No, I just love it! Now this is the true confession of a gym rat.
