This walk seems to take me far
Away from what we once and are
A work in progress with rough edges
That need smoothing by GOD who pledges
The best of us is yet to come
Thy will is His still to be done
Inside this man who needs a savior
Whose need for GOD longs to just savor
I'm sure I am just one of many
That seeks to find what one needs plenty
Passion His yet to be shown
Like flower petals in wind we're blown
Imagine you who could become
Like Him who I wish we were done
With what we live this very day
But just not yet and so we stay
Hammered is grace upon my chest
By GOD who sees in us no less
There still much more for Him to do
In you and I before adieu
The road ahead will summon forth
All we can give this road and course
Will bring much pain and with it healing
To share our strengths, masses appealing
No YOU turns, no backsliding
For in us all GOD is confiding
To save someone the path they walk
Destruction theirs on souls sin stalks
Be mindful and also faithful
For in these things we should be grateful
As He will grant both room and board
To all seeking, Home of the LORD
