HEALING SONG - unshackled from hurts prison bars -
Lord, You gave me Your mercy
when Your wrath was my deserve
in my darkness You spoke
the softest words I'd ever heard
In my weakest hour
when I refused to understand
You revived, from death, my life
by the power of YOUR hand
I thought that love was
just a dream, not a reality
til You came, You melted my heart
You reached the depths of me
Over and over - my hurts -
insisted to stake their claim
"BUT" Beauty for ashes,oil of joy
was Your only exchange!
You sang to me in my sorrows
words that healed all my scars
now I'm living free
unshackled from - hurts prison bars -
I'll sing healing's song
with bittersweet words from sorrows well
it's my history
it's Our story, that I must tell!
Isaiah 61:1-3
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me;
because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning,
the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD,
that he might be glorified.
